Paris: Demonstration vor GE-Hauptsitz

Mit Aktionen in mehreren europäischen Städten haben nationale Gewerkschaften und ihr Dachverband industriAll Europe gestern gegen die Stellenabbaupläne des US-Konzern General Electric (GE) protestiert. Allein an der zentralen Kundgebung in Paris, dem europäischen Sitz von GE, haben laut Veranstalter mehr als 2500 Mitarbeiter teilgenommen - rund 700 davon aus Mannheim, wie Thomas Hahl von der hiesigen IG Metall sagt. Sie waren extra in zwölf Bussen in die französische Hauptstadt gereist. "Ein klares Signal, das sicher von GE verstanden wird", ist der Gewerkschafter überzeugt.
